Get to Know Me

Hi, my name is Michelle and I've worked in both private and public sectors. I have experience working for the National Health Service (NHS), Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT), national businesses, local government, education and private clients.

My initial training at Birkbeck University was in Psychodynamic and CBT counselling. I’ve gained extensive experience in both short-term and long-term counselling, covering a wide range of presenting issues and problems.

I am a fully qualified and registered counsellor with enhanced DBS clearance. I am a member of BACP which ensures I work within the ethical framework and expand my knowledge within the strict CPD requirements.

I understand the stresses of everyday life and recognise that we all need to talk about our own mental health; this might not always be possible with our ‘nearest and dearest’. I realise that it can be difficult to put your trust in someone you don’t know… but that can also be the advantage.

I am a fully qualified Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor in 2-day, 1-day, half day and Higher Education training.

I work as a British Safety Council (BSC) Instructor in both the 'Starting the Conversation (STC)' and 'Manage the Conversation (MTC)' training.

I work with a team of dedicated professionals and consultants to ensure all your needs and requirements are met.
Any need for a referral would be discussed with yourself prior to any communication.
